Hello! Thanks for visiting the page of our loyal Shih Tzu, Kooper.

KOOPER?
Kooper was born on December 23, 1998. However, we were only able to
have him sometime in February 1999. His name? Actually, since we had
another pet (a pug) named Gucci, we wanted to give him a 'branded' name.
Names like Prada and Ferragamo were considered, but when we saw the
kennel certificate, the dog already had a name: Kooper. We had very happy
moments with him, but those came to a halt when Kooper developed
a virus, the most deadly/fatal a dog can have: Parvovirus.

PARVO?
May 30, 1999: Kooper seems to be tame and quiet -- not his usual self.
May 31, 1999: Now, he's EXTRA quiet and refuses to eat..
June 01, 1999: We brought him to Animal World (??) in Bel-Air. He was there
with Gucci. Another dog of ours, Cali (maltese) was at another place in
Taguig. The vet assured us we'll get him in a week, and besides he had all
the vaccinations. Gucci was also there, so we were very much sure that
he'll be back.
June 02, 1999: We're going to Manila to buy things for school, and visit
Kooper & Gucci na rin. However, on our way, the news of Kooper's death
was something that bothered us all on our way.

AFTERMATH
I never saw his body, they said the vet will take care of it.. my younger
sister, Bianca, loves him so much and doesn't know he's dead. What she knows
is that Kooper is still in the vet's place. We went to the Antipolo church and
Bianca told me she wished well for Kooper's health. I couldn't tell her the
truth :(

So what now? My family's plans are to buy another identical shih tzu for
a replacement, and says Bianca will never know. But for me, you cannot
replace Kooper. He was very loyal....

Things We Will Miss About Kooper

• How he reacts when he sees us after school (his "dumb look" as we
  call it)

• How he would tear up the wallpapers and would just stop when we tell him to do so

• How he would drop everything in the mere sight of a Pringles Sour Cream and Onion can

• When locked inside a room, he would try to reach the doorknob; then
  eventually he would scratch the door na lang

• When we're using the PC's, he would just lie back under the table (his
  favorite spot); beside the door (second fave) or under the computer
  table beside the AVR (third fave)

• How he would wake Bianca up by licking her face

• How he liked to sleep on our beds and not on his bed

• How he likes to cozy up in the master's bedroom

• How much he likes it to accompany the maid in fetching us at
  school

• His (non-violent)  "fights" with Gucci

• How he would "tear up" mom & Bianca's clothes (not all! Just his fave,
  the one where he would jump at the clothes which have, what
  do you call these, parang beach clothes yung putol-putol ang ends..
  basta, yun, clothes you can buy from Boracay.. yun na 'yun! And
  another thing, yung pajamas namin, specially yung kay Mommy)

• His "wet-look" -- he's so thin underneath; plus yung mukha niya after
  sipping his water, basa talaga :)

• His "dumb-look" again after my sister tells him to shoo off when he's
  at her room

• How he would transfer from his bed (he hates it) to OUR bed!

• His "dumb-look" again! After we went to Tagaytay for four days he
  would greet us back with that dumb look :) A look we loved..

Generally, we would all miss Kooper.
Although I (Angelo) look forward in meeting the new dog, that pup will not
be Kooper's replacement -- you can never replace Kooper. The almost
six-month dog that came to us only to be gone too soon.. We'll miss you
Kooper. :)

So from now on, we're starting our lives without Kooper.....

MESSAGE FOR KOOPER
Kooper! Thanks for the moments we've shared.. we'll miss you, and no
one can ever replace you. Wherever you are, we hope you are happy.
